Genesis Community Rehabilitation, Inc. specializes in providing Rehabilitation Support and Behaviour Consultation services to clients living with Acquired Brain Injury, Mental Health Issues, Spinal Cord Injuries and/or various complex needs. The Genesis team members are mindful of and employ the ethical principles of two unique associations: The Ontario Association of Consultants, Counsellors, Psychotherapists and Psychometrists (OACCPP) and The Vocational Rehabilitation Association of Canada (VRA).

Role description:
Assist clients with returning to an optimal level of independence
Implement cognitive, physical and/or behavioural interventions
Work with Pediatric, Adolescent, Adult and Senior populations
Work with various ethnic groups, and respect all cultural values and traditions
Provide support in a variety of settings including rehabilitation facilities and programs, hospitals, homes, school systems, workplaces and throughout the community.
Work under the direction and supervision of a regulated health care professional such as Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapists, Speech-Language Pathologists, etc.
Liaison with all members of treatment team to ensure effective service provision
Prepare and submit detailed progress notes and comprehensive progress reports
What we are looking for:
University or college degree/diploma in a relevant field
Acquired brain injury, mental health and behavioural experience
Experience working under a Regulated Health Care team (minimum 4 years)
Enthusiastic and responsible workers
Excellent communication, organization and social skills
Current crisis intervention training (CPI, Safe Management, UMAB)
Current First Aid/CPR.
Current valid Police check/vulnerable sector screening.
Valid drivers license and access to a reliable vehicle with ability to commute within your surrounding area.
6A endorsement and 2 million Professional Liability Insurance coverage is essential
Fluency in a second language is an asset
