COMPANY PROFILE
Primoris Canada is an infrastructure contractor serving major firms in the oil, gas, power, petrochemical, and heavy oil industries and include services covering tailings and hydro-transport pipeline construction and maintenance, storage tank construction and maintenance, industrial facilities multi-discipline construction and maintenance, piping fabrication, and pipeline integrity services.
POSITION SUMMARY
A Heavy Equipment Operator is involved in the operation of various pieces of equipment such as excavators, loaders, bulldozers, and graders. This work exists primarily outdoors and may be physically demanding.
Shift:
7/7 or 14/14
JOB DUTIES
- Comply with Primoris Canada and Client Safety rules, as well as OH&S standards
- Operate various pieces of equipment, including but not limited to: dozers, graders, loaders, excavators, bobcats, and zoom booms
- Move materials/equipment and dirt
- Load/unload materials
- Assist in demolition work
- Excavate trenches
- Complete pre-job equipment inspections
- Attend required safety and tailgate/toolbox meetings
- Other tasks as required
QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS
- Must be in possession of a valid operator’s card for the equipment utilized
- Must be in possession of a valid Class 5 driver’s license (non-GDL)
- Must have previous experience operating equipment on an industrial work site
- Experience working in tight spaces is considered an asset
- CSO
- Strong commitment to safety, quality, and productivity
- Pre-employment drug and alcohol testing is a condition of employment
