Position Summary
ADM Design Inc. is a growing, full-service interior design and renovation firm specializing in residential and condominium refurbishment projects. We manage projects from initial concept through construction, overseeing both design and execution to ensure a seamless and well-coordinated process.
We are seeking a technically strong Interior Designer who is comfortable working across both design and construction phases. This role is drawing-heavy and detail-oriented, with client interaction and on-site involvement.
This is not a styling-only role. The ideal candidate is confident producing drawings, navigating building codes, and supporting real project execution.
Required Qualifications & Experience
- Diploma or Degree in Interior Design, or related field
- Minimum 4+ years of relevant industry experience
- ARIDO membership (or eligibility) required
- BCIN designation (or working toward) considered a strong asset
- Advanced proficiency in:
- AutoCAD (required)
- Revit
- Chief Architect
- SketchUp
- Adobe Creative Suite
Strong understanding of:
- Ontario Building Code (OBC)
- Municipal by-laws and permit processes
- Experience with construction drawings and detailing
- Experience in condominium refurbishment considered an asset
- Valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle
- Ability to attend site visits and lift materials (25+ lbs)
Core Responsibilities
Technical & Design
- Prepare detailed drawing packages (plans, elevations, sections, details)
- Assist with permit drawings and submissions
- Interpret and apply building codes and regulations
- Conduct site measurements and verify existing conditions
- Support material selections and specifications
- Coordinate with consultants, trades, and suppliers
Project Coordination
- Manage project documentation and client files
- Assist with project scopes, budgets, and timelines
- Prepare accurate quotes and proposals within required timelines
- Track orders, materials, and vendor coordination
- Attend site visits and support project execution
Client-Facing
- Participate in client meetings and in-home consultations
- Help define project scope based on budget and feasibility
- Maintain clear, professional communication throughout the project lifecycle
- Support closing of new projects by building client confidence
Administrative
- Prepare correspondence (emails, reports, documentation)
- Maintain organized filing systems (digital and physical)
- Assist with purchase orders and vendor account management
- Support general office operations as needed
