What You’ll Do:
- Receives, unloads, loads, and cross-docks LTL freight using pallet jacks, forklifts, or manual handling as required.
- Sorts and stages freight as directed according to destination and scheduled departure times.
- Verifies and process freight documentation (waybills, bills of lading, manifests etc.).
- Inspects freight for damage and reports discrepancies to supervisor.
- Ensures proper freight handling and secure loading/unloading standard operating procedures are followed using appropriate equipment.
- Follows all company policies and procedures and safety procedures, including WorkSafe BC regulations and Transportation of Dangerous Goods (TDG) regulations.
Who You Are:
- Successful completion of Grade twelve (High School diploma) or GED.
- Experience with operating pallet jacks and electric forklifts is preferred.
- Experience in LTL freight, refrigerated warehouse environments considered an asset.
- Forklift and TDG certified.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work in varied conditions, including cold storage and outdoor environments.
- A team player who collaborates with others and enjoys working in a warehouse environment.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively and meet deadlines in a fast-paced setting.
- Ability to work overtime as required.
